Thomas W. Carroll #1 Buffalo New York

About Us

What Thomas W. Carroll, Erie County Division One is doing:

  • We run our monthly meeting on the fourth Monday of the month at the Irish Center in South Buffalo.
  • The Division has a prepared talk on Irish history, Irish culture, or Irish politics at every meeting.
  • We enjoy a social occasion at the Irish Center after each meeting.
  • We participate fully in the annual St. Patrick's Day parade as an organized unit, including a Color Guard in Saffron Kilts.
  • We also march in "The Old Neighborhood Parade" in "The Valley."
  • The Division has a memorial Mass and breakfast in the spring in memory of our deceased members.
  • We have the Commodore John Barry day commemoration in September on the USS The Little Rock at the Naval and Servicemen's park.
  • We have annual social events, including a Christmas Party and a summer picnic.
  • The Division presents its prestigious Hibernian of the Year Award to a deserving Irishman annually.
  • We support both local and national charities.
  • We publish a monthly newsletter that is mailed to all our members.
