About Us
What Thomas W. Carroll, Erie County Division One is doing:
- We run our monthly meeting on the fourth Monday of the month at the Irish Center in South Buffalo.
- The Division has a prepared talk on Irish history, Irish culture, or Irish politics at every meeting.
- We enjoy a social occasion at the Irish Center after each meeting.
- We participate fully in the annual St. Patrick's Day parade as an organized unit, including a Color Guard in Saffron Kilts.
- We also march in "The Old Neighborhood Parade" in "The Valley."
- The Division has a memorial Mass and breakfast in the spring in memory of our deceased members.
- We have the Commodore John Barry day commemoration in September on the USS The Little Rock at the Naval and Servicemen's park.
- We have annual social events, including a Christmas Party and a summer picnic.
- The Division presents its prestigious Hibernian of the Year Award to a deserving Irishman annually.
- We support both local and national charities.
- We publish a monthly newsletter that is mailed to all our members.
